http://ktown213.com/spotlights/ride/4runner/4runner.html
2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5 (2 Wheel Drive) Ktown213: Hey PK, thanks for allowing Ktown213 to do another feature with you. We featured you last time, but now we're featuring your dope ride. Tell us about your team, your ride, and yourself, and how you got into modifying your car and all that cool junk.PK: My brother-in-law John and his crew started our team in 2007 and I'm now the current president. Our crew is called The Calculators because only 4.0 GPA students are allowed. Don't even try to race in our crew if you get a B in math. That's just embarrassing. Also NO traffic tickets. If you get one, you get a one year probation and two tickets means you're out. We're here to change the perception of bad Asian drivers. Ever since I was young, I would lie awake at night dreaming of buying my first used Toyota 4runner. There's nothing like the force and power of a two wheel drive gas guzzler. People with hybrids don't really appreciate how precious it is when you visit them. When you own an SUV, you make sure your friends know how much gas is. Every time I enter my 4runner at Import contests like Hot Import Nights or Spocom, I always get these haters telling me I don't belong, but my dad told me they're just jealous. They yell "4Dumber!!" but they don't know I replaced the original factory engine with a 12 cylinder Ferrari Enzo. That's 0 - 60 in 3.14 seconds in my 4Runner. The look on the faces in Glendale are priceless. Yes, I live in Glendale and I gotta give props to Armenians. No one flosses harder than Armenians. They floss harder than Koreans who live in apartments. There are a lot of similarities between Koreans and Armenians: Similarities between Koreans and Armenians: - FLOSS HARD even if you live in an apartment. Mercedes, BMW, or Lexus ONLY. NO other Cars allowed. - Get Shiny rims. As Shiny and large as possible. Spinning rims get extra points. - Name brand purses only. - Every girl crew must have one girl whose hair is blonde. - Smoke as much as possible. Always. No matter what time it is. After breakfast, lunch, dinner. At Starbucks, at the market, inside your car, next to your car. At church. - Drink as much as possible. For any reason. - No matter how much you drink, go to church on Sunday. - Don't associate with people outside your race. - Speak your country's language when others are around. - Don't marry outside your race. - Own every market and dry cleaners in town. - Find one city and take it over. I mean completely take it over until you actually see white people packing up and leaving in a caravan to Thousand Oaks or the OC. KT213: Um...that was quite a reply...and um...what are your future plans for your car...I guess? PK: I plan to add 48' gold rims. I want spinning rims that make whistling noises at girls when I drive by. I also plan to add a moon-roof with stars painted on them so that its always romantic. Most people want leather seats but I prefer high grade plastic. All girls love leather but you can really test if your girl loves you with plastic seats in the summer. Buy her short shorts and if she has a good attitude all summer, get her a ring. KT213: Thanks PK....any shout outs? SO: John, Paul, and Ralph from KTOWN213! TRULY underappreciated in our community. And special thanks to singer and model, Kaila Yu! | |||||

Due to the fact I was inculcated with the Christian faith, which I am very grateful for, I thought George Carlin was Evil growing up. Downright blashpemous. But as I got older, I realized, he was an extremely intelligent, brave, logical person that seeked truth and broke things down to its raw core. The reason why he had such an enormous following was he challenged those who said, "JUST BELIEVE!!!" and when you asked WHY? they said, "Because IT says so... or GOD says so... or because WE say so... " and Carlin said F... THAT, let's dig deeper... and he always found some humorous conclusion that humans always follow the masses because they don't want to be alone. He was never afraid to be alone and go against the status quo. He was a pioneer and his comedy is going to be even more influential now after his death. He was one of the most bold public speakers in the history of the world.
George Carlin.... Rest in Peace. 6.22.08. A true, revolutionary comic.
Many don't realize one of the reasons we have the kind of free speech and personal liberties in America today is because of Stand Up Comedians. Stand Up Comedy is one of America's TRUE ORIGINAL artforms along with Jazz and Country. In the 60's, comics such as Lenny Bruce were ARRESTED after performances simply for expressing their thoughts in disagreement with the government. In the 70's George Carlin's words took him to the Supreme Court!!!
I grew up idolizing Eddie Murphy and Johnny Carson. I would stay up late and marvel at Johnny Carson's timing. My friend had a cassette tape of Eddie Murphy's classic, Delirious and my mouth would drop in shock at how he made 15,000+ people laugh at once with some of the most brilliant humor ever.
My list changes every year... every month actually... but here is my top list of all time favorite stand up comics.
PK's ALL TIME FAVORITE STAND UP COMICS - Version 2008
1. BRIAN REGAN, Miami, FL - My all time stand up comedy hero. I've heard his CD, "BRIAN REGAN LIVE" 1997 oh... about 20 times in its entirety. Its helped me throughout my life. The first time you hear it... I guarantee you, you will crack up so hard at what a dork he is and how honest he is about it. Jo Koy and I saw him live at the Wiltern in 2007... and to see him now as a family man, doing his thing, making a lot of money...doing good, CLEAN, hilarious, comedy... made me really happy. He is the master of self-deprecating humor which is my thing. Please get his CD, laugh your ( | ) off and thank me later. www.brianregan.com
2. EDDIE MURPHY, Brooklyn, NY - He was 22 Years old when he did DELIRIOUS in front of 15,000 people. Do you know how INSANE that is? He was already on SNL and about to become the biggest movie star. RAW was aiiight, but Delirious (1983) was legendary and changed my life. "You don't got no ice cream... cause you are on da welfare... wanna lick? Psyche!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6wGBIxjt08
3. JOHNNY CARSON, Norfolk, Nebraska, - The all time king of late night talk shows. I would stay up at night after my parents fell asleep to watch the master of comedic timing all throughout my childhood. No one had better timing and a deadpan than him. Representin NBC Studios in my hood from Age 1 - 21, BURBANK, CALI... heeeeeeere's Johnny! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqbBy_JxrK4
4. CHRIS ROCK, Brooklyn, NY - So many legendary comedy albums but nothing compares to BRING THE PAIN. I've watched it over 10 times and I can do every routine from start to finish. His famous bit: "I love black people but I hate.... " is one of the most powerful examples of a comedian uplifting his community through social commentary that evokes enormous amounts of laughter. There are only a small number of people in the entire world that could deliver this painfully awkward, edgy, controversial comedy bit and have it accepted in their community... Black people are crackin up because they know that ultimately, he speaks their language, he is on their side, and he's down for them. No one gives you consistenly hard hitting truths than Chris Rock. He's on the pulpit and all you can do when he breaks things down is nod your head and go, "Yup. Fo Sho. That's True" even when society says you're not supposed to. He's the prime example of a comic who says things that are in your head but you never say them because you seek approval. Rock says it clearly, loudly, and unabashedly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpUSElgJcyI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9A2I-X7b-w
5. DAVE CHAPPELLE, Washington DC - Long before his genius on Chappelle Show with black, blind KKK Leader, I'm Rick James, Gangsta Wayne Brady, Black Bush, Making The Band, Real World, and countless others... he was a GENIUS as a stand up and still is. I first saw him on Def Comedy Jam when he was in his young twenties and you could sense he was different. Tall, skinny, goofy, deep, intelligent, with a high pitched nasaly voice... that went even higher when he imitated white people. No one conveys his quirky, twisted, and hilarious point of view like Chappelle. His greatest classic is KILLING EM SOFTLY which has two of the greatest bits of all time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUmYGLIubho http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7F50Cd8LME
6. KATT WILLIAMS, Dayton, OH, - PIMP CHRONICLES 1 and 2. This brotha brings it when he's on stage his style is sick. I have MAD RESPECT for him because he adopted 7 kids. Aside from that, when I watch all his stuff I crack up so hard. He is a modern day Richard Pryor. One interviewer asked him... "For all the years you've been doing comedy, did you ever think... I may never make it big?" And Katt's answer gave me so much peace... his answer was, "Everyday..." This guy has just scratched the surface of his greatness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJMvPU1a1vI Everyday I'm husltin!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJMvPU1a1vI
7. RICHARD PRYOR, Peoria, ILL - LIVE ON THE SUNSET STRIP - The only reason why he's not higher is because I haven't heard enough of his CDs. He is regarded as one of the all time great stand up comics, if not THE Greatest of all time. He's the inspiration for almost every comic working today. He's the greatest storyteller of all time and he changed the game because he would actually talk about personal things that just happened and everyone knew about it through the media. I love that. Its time for me to listen to more Pryor.
8. MARTIN LAWRENCE, Washington DC, YOU SO CRAZY - I think I've seen this 5 times and each time I crack up. No question, he was the best host on Def Comedy Jam. He knew how to clown people in the audience hard but you knew it was all love. That's a skill that many comics don't possess. It takes incredible wit and charisma. He's a class clown and we're all his classmates. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZY6D4sDppM
8. CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER - St. Louis, Missouri - I've watched ALL of his stuff. No one can do act-outs better than him and he truly lives up to his name. He's someone that you would want to hang out with at a party because he cracks you up all the time with a barrage of jokes and talent including singing, dancing, beatboxing... he reminds me of one of my good friends and comic, Joey Guila www.joeyguila.com What I learn from Cedric is you have to work on your game and incorporate everything you have...not just words. THE OG KINGS OF COMEDY "Cause we run!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNA-jgdXBL0
9. CONAN O' BRIEN, Boston, MA- One of my favorite people in the whole world next to my wife. He's one of my heroes. Super intelligent and Self deprecating. Harvard Grad, worked at Wilson's Suede and Leather, then Simpsons, SNL, then his own talk show and he's not pretentious. He's just him. He delivered the greatest commencement speech of all time > http://www.february-7.com/features/conan.htm I can't wait until he takes over The Tonight Show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46QXCDK-B0M
10. GEORGE W. BUSH, New Haven, Connecticut > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z43VdkPbme4 We elected him TWICE??? We deserve a recession and high gas prices.
11. JIM GAFFIGAN, Chesterton, IN- Just watch him talk about one topic... CAKE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDfp45Utg5k And then listen to his bit on Hot Pockets. He's the master of the subconcious voice.
12. DANIEL TOSH, Titusville, FL, The vicious machine gun of comedy with precision aim. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MTXTHMtnXA
12. CHRIS TUCKER, Atl, GA, One of the funniest bits of all time > Def Comedy Jam - "What if Michael Jackson was a pimp?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfQGRvGAzKA
13. JAMIE FOXX, Terrell, Texas - The most talented man in the world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1o21zyvFrg
14. JO KOY - Las Vegas, Nevada. The Future of comedy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJVZl13ZxLY
15. RUSSELL PETERS - Toronto, Canada, The Present and The Future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qtrAMK7_Qk
16. BOBBY LEE -
17. KATHY GRIFFIN -
18. MARGARET CHO -
50. JERRY SEINFELD, Massapequa NY - The king of observational comedy. No one did it better. And its said, no one worked harder. He's not the funniest guy but you can see how much work went into his joke structure... the economy of his writing... its a beautiful thing. His album I'M TELLING YOU FOR THE LAST TIME which features his greatest comedy bits is a powerful testament to his hard work. Every comic has the utmost respect for him because he retired all of his jokes and started fresh which is documented in the movie, "Comedian." You see him start over and bomb at a comedy club. For a famous guy to put himself out there and grow like that... it just shows, if you want to be great, you always have to stretch yourself way beyond you could ever imagine. This is genius: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qY5AVBSjTAQ But here is the reason why some people can't handle fame. The reason why he's #50? You have to like a comic to laugh and this guy just ain't likable after this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZfUgVSfKdQ
TO BE CONTINUED!!!
This one's dedicated to: Ktown-LA, Kangnam, Apkujung,
Shinchon, Hongdae, and Haeundae.
(Melody: This Used to be my playground)
You used to be my waiter… (you used to be…)
You used to bring the fruit to me…
You used to see our candle lifted
And hear our call for some company, or a drink
but my friends wanna use, somebody else…
and now I feel bad, every time I see you
I feel like I have to, explain why
why I don’t use you, as my waiter now
is that why you mad-dog me
everytime you see me
You used to be my waiter (you used to be…)
You used to make me feel VIP
You used to tell me i'm the man
But you only wanted a bigger tip from me
and my friends... and now they wanna use
somebody else...
you used to give… me service
but now you only give me some
ddang kongs, and a weird vibe
if the tip isn’t big
I’ve never paid this much in one night
$300 for squid and rubbing alcohol.
You used to be my waiter (you used to be...)
you used to say wassup to me
you used to have me on your myspace
but now you kicked me off your list and now i see... how it is
just know its nothing personal, I gave you referrals…
and i've seen you clean
the crazy mess every night after everyone's gone home
and much respect
for working hard and doin your thing
i know it must be tiring
you gotta do what you gotta do
I’m in the struggle with you…
You used to be my waiter (you used to be…)
You used to be our superman
You used to be our 007, king kong, spiderman
and you told us we would get a good table, but you sat…
us next to the giant speakers, and now I’m deaf…
