I'm OFF to CHICAGO !!! for the first annual KOLLABORATION CHICAGO !!!
I'm excited beyond belief. This is a DREAM COME TRUE fo shizzy! Kollaboration in tha hizzy goin National! New York is next!
www.chilkollaboration.org | www.kollaboration.org
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for all the props and encouraging words everyone... people have told me that they weren't proud of our culture before but now they have Korean/ASIAN pride racing through their veins!!!
That's Right! Who cares if our stationary doesn't make sense!!!
you and me sunshine is like flower becoming snowflake on my eyebrow, when you come near, i climb beautiful mountain, when you go away, obviously, i eat strawberries to be the reds.
Here's my JJamp-pong style collage of pics i took and a few i jacked from other sites. SHANKS. for those i took pics from... feel free to take mine. i'm a lova not a hata.
KASCON 18 | a piece of the Asian Revolution | Its The Movement!
Very important man that lit a fire under my ass. I feel like I shouldn't even talk about him or post his picture for a myriad of reasons but i'm probably being paranoid. This man was the highlight of the conference in my opinion.
Diana, UCLA, & more importantly, Kollaboration staff member... you knoooow! [first of many Kollaboration plugs] www.kollaboration.org D always has that smile when she's lettin me know what's goin on. its contagious.
My long-time dong-seng Sandita, Kollaboration staff since the beginning, gettin ready to 'Hypnoticze' the crowd and my longtime brotha, my boy DJ, Danie Jung, aka Qtip, Living Way Communications Ministry director. Westcoast in tha hizzy fo shizzy!

Reuel - The future of Asian American directors. Mad-Talented brotha from UCLA, now at USC film school go to www.newtruetalent.org | and Jane! representin LA at UPENN! smart and a bootyshaker choreographer. i'm proud girl. my longtime dong-seng, former VBS! student... i'm gettin old...
Jen Chong, UCLA Alumni, UCLA Kascon Exec. director, Mirae board member, avid supporter of all things positive concerning the Asian community. good seein you Jen after all these years!
Congrats UCLA bringin the national dance trophy home... come on now, the east coast is smarter and more goal oriented, but competing w/ the westcoast in a group Dance competition??? Chinese, Filipino, and Korean Dance crews are like Gangs in the westcoast... where u from? Adiosmf Bootyshakin SpeakerFreakers ya heeeard? that wasn't even a glimpse of their best performance... their whole crew wasn't there and they have better routines. UPENN's A2X was dope though... they had the best motives... to glorify God. & Jane was in it. and Rutgers had mad-flava along with some jessica alba-in-honey shorties... seriously... i thought i was watchin a JAY-Z video. all the girls in the audience became haters on that routine cause all the guys were fantasizing. i only speak the truth. i heard some girls say "they look like that because they probably don't eat" > translation > hi, i'm a hater!
The boys from NEMO | i have their CD rockin my room as i type. We finally got to hang out. MAD COOL brothas... the only FULL Korean Punk Rock band i've ever known and they seriously bring it when they perform. HARD-CORE energy... Koreans were moshing and body surfin!!! guess where one of their first performances were? how'd you know?... Kollaboration.
There are very few things more rewarding in life than talkin about your experiences and paradigm and have your people in the audience laugh, clap, and holla lettin you know... we feel you dogg! we feel you! after the n. korea song, that's the first time a group has ever given a standing ovation to anything i've done... ever. i was beyond moved and touched. there was so much HAN, JUNG, and SA RANG pouring out from our parents into that room, it was simply AWESOME in the real sense of the word. Margaret Cho and Bobby Lee are pioneers to me for doin their thing but Ktown Sonny Kang hyung always told me you have to be down for your people first before you blow up. "when worst comes to worst my peoples come first" dilated peoples & LA Riots '92. with all the faults we have... I love my people... ALL my Asian cousins... and especially my Korean brothas and sistas. its our time to represent!!!

Sandee, longtime webdesigner of www.kollaboration.org [shameless plug] and Jennie > oh yes. another Kollaboration staff member [yet another shameless plug], winner of chongdae's costume contest as Fukyu & Fukmi, and my partner in crime for DEL TACO. DT is tha ish!!!
Rutgers Poongmool Team... "HAN-UHL" - one spirit | some Poongmool teams are dry. Rutgers was Off Tha Hizzy... so much spirit, coordination, and pride!!! everyone in the room got into it.

Danny Cho, UCLA KASA pres, my younger brotha & partner in crime for Korean American comedy. winner of comedy portion at where??? > Kollaboration. He ROCKED tha house with his East LA Flava and a lot of new stuff. it was so loud at one point, i felt like we were in the kings of comedy. it has been 7 years i've been waiting for a younger korean to come out of the woodworks... i'm going to form a team of Korean American comedians and we're going to put a national tour together in the future. Danny understands the internal struggle that goes on being a stand-up. if anyone thinks its easy... TRY IT. most people would rather jump out of a plane than attempt at makin a group of strangers laugh.
i love this pic. this girl is star-struck. Lesson to the GUYS, if they play w/ their hair nervously, it means they're INTO YOU. get the digits. except in Ken's case he's taken... don't worry Jungha, i kept them all off of him with the stick you gave me.
Ken Oak, winner of vocal portion of that HOT show called Kollaboration. he's my long time church brotha, my former praise leader, now partner in crime in Asian Entertainment. Ken, i'll always remember that breakfast in Denny's a year ago when we were sayin... "are we really goin to go for this entertainment thing as Asians ???" and we took the blind leap... one year later... we're movin and groovin brotha !!! y'no i got yo back! see you tonight @ LP.
"you maxed out all my credit cards and made me use your fruity soap..." b, betta recognize!

Eric Chung, 19, has lived ALL over the world, smooth Korean R&B singer, performed at where? oh yeah... Kollaboration and Elevation at Rosen. look at this sista on stage starry-eyed...
Organic Thoughts | Asian Hip Hop Group... i liked their style. Korean and Filipino. The Korean female MC was dope and the crowd was INTO it! I want my future wife to rap. =) Honey, can you freesytle a little bit before we go to sleep? dope.
Asian American Rappers Comin up > Snacky Chan | Far-East Movement | Jupitersciples | Jin | Organic Thoughts
my dong-seng Angela | UCSD... she's one of those sweet, godly, gentle spirit chunsas... those girls you feel like if one of your boys says a dirty joke, you'll look at him like hey... angie's here.
does anyone have a picture of Scrappy Hyung? Peter Lee? i gotta give him props too... Gang Awareness Program... and has been through more in his life than more people do in 80 years. We be hangin hyung G-G-G-UniT! Ktown Family... and Daniel Cho from ROCK THE VOTE? if anyone has any pics... send them over... go mah wuh.

FINALLY, PROPS To my boy ADRIAN HONG and the entire KASCON 18 Staff for inspiring me to write my longest XANGA entry ever.
Its The ASIAN REVOLUTION! We're not quiet anymore. Lets DO THIS!!!

daniel introduced us on the first day.... cho that is...
hi pk! looks like it was very successful and a lot of fun. i dont know why my comment on your previous post didnt show up. anyways, what i was saying on the last one was that you should look into the north korea freedom act thats going around in senate right now. i believe they just revised it couple weeks ago. if the bill is passed, it would do wonders for the human rights situation over there. it looks like a long shot (the south koreans arent in favor of it, and its pretty controversial), so it needs all the support it can get! good luck with everything!
Damn Kollaboration was all up at Kascon now that I think about it. Thanks for the kind words PK. You always support me like a training bra. I am gonna do my best to stay in the game. Its true, comedy is my love. I cant seem to get away from it. Much love brotha. Imma go to the toilet now. Time to write some material if you know what i mean. haha

Haha, thanks for posting a comment. You were hilarious and you had the entire UW squad in hysterics. I definitely think you should come to KASCON XIX at UW. We don't want to bring too many of the same faces, but I think you're too funny to pass up. I'm awaiting the launch of LiNK. Finally, some action resulting from KASCON. It's good to see.
